Job Description: Sales Executive, Chicago based

Responsible for achieving sales objectives by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plans. Responsible for providing current, accurate and meaningful product information to customers, for the primary purpose of selling Atlantia’s services to the customer. Accountable for maintaining compliance with all policies that govern sales activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meet quarterly sales objectives for Atlantia services within designated territory
  • Implement marketing and sales strategies as directed by Atlantia leadership
  • Participate in off-site sales meetings, tradeshows, conferences, and training programs as required
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Atlantia’s services, specifically in the foods and nutraceutical sectors
  • Prepare and review study proposals and budgets, using appropriate templates and costing models
  • Liaise with the operations team and appropriate personnel in relation to scheduling of trials and study timelines
  • Maintain up-to-date call records for customers in the designated CRM
  • Follow Atlantia policies for distribution of marketing material
  • Develop and maintain a territory management plan designed for efficient coverage/call frequency on customers
  • Develop and maintain a positive business climate for Atlantia
  • Read and follow Atlantia’s company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional, business-like appearance at all times
Requirements:

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience required
  • 1-3 years of Functional Food/nutraceuticals/medical foods/supplement sales required

Knowledge, Skills, & Core Competencies:

  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Microsoft office) and internet applications.
  • Must exercise logic and common sense when confronted by varying circumstance or conditions not covered by established practices or procedures.

  • Previous Business-to-Business Sales experience required
  • Can demonstrate advanced sectoral knowledge of foods and nutraceutical sectors
  • Travel to/from meetings/trade events as required
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Must produce documented sales results and examples of awards/achievements
  • May need to work evenings and weekends as needed (conferences, programs, etc.)
